In December 2006, the Province of Ontario Canada passed consumer protection legislation containing provisions that prohibit the advertising and promotion of Internet gambling sites. The bill defines this advertising and promotion, among other things, as any link in a website intended to promote the use of an Internet gaming business.
HomePoker.com is incorporated in the Province of Ontario and has been affected by this new law. The regulations accompanying this legislation will soon be written by the Province of Ontario, at which time we would likely be found in violation based on the information that we provide related to online gambling.
