| Point Rolls |
|
 |
When the Point is established, the same player will continue to roll the dice until he rolls either the Point number or Seven. For example, if Four was the point, the same player would continue to roll the dice over and over until that player rolls a Four or a Seven, whichever comes first. Once one of these two numbers is rolled, the round has come to an end.
The Point: If the Point number is rolled before a Seven, then all bets on the Pass Line are paid 1:1. All bets on the Don't Pass Bar are collected. All bets on the Come are paid 1:1. All bets on the Don't Come Bar are collected.
Seven: If Seven is rolled before the Point number, then all bets on the Don't Pass Bar are paid 1:1. All bets on the Pass Line are collected. All bets on the Don't Come Bar are paid 1:1. All bets on the Come are collected.
From this, you can see that the Come and the Don't Come Bar are introduced after the first roll. Only on the Come Out Roll can bets be placed on the Pass Line or Don't Pass Bar. After that first roll of the round and at any point during the round's rolling, players may bet on the Come and Don't Come Bar. Something else that you may have realized is that the role of the number Seven changes after the Come Out Roll. On the Come Out Roll, it pays on the Pass Line. On subsequent rolls, it pays on the Don't Pass Bar. Craps revolves around the number seven because it is the most commonly rolled number with two six-sided dice.
