  • Basic Five Card Draw
The dealer must determine how many cards each player can exchange on the draw. If there are enough cards for all players, the dealer may decide that players can draw as many cards as they want. Five cards are dealt face-down to each player. A betting round is opened by the player sitting to the left of the dealer. That player is 'under the gun' for all betting rounds in the game, but of course can opt not to bet.

The betting round is followed by a draw, where players can exchange as many cards as were specified by the dealer. The draw begins with the player to the left of the dealer. The draw is followed by a second and final betting round. Those players remaining show down their five-card hand.
