Q. Does a flush beat a pair of aces. FOR example I had a 3 and 4 of diamonds and the flop came to King of diamonds, Queen of diamonds and 9 of diamonds plus 8 of of spades and a 2 of hearts. My friend had two aces..Ace diamond and Ace spades! which hand wins??
A. Thanks for the question, Michael,
Yes, a flush beats a pair of Aces. Everytime.
Now, let's look at your situation. You are holding 3d4d, your opponent is holding AdAs. The board shows KdQd9d8s2h. You have a flush of KQ934 Diamonds, your friend has Aces with a King kicker. You win, hands down.
The fact that your friend has the Aces of diamonds with out 4 other flush cards is irrelevant. His pair of Aces will never beat your King high Diamond Flush.
If you let him win this hand, you were had. Click here for more on Poker Basics.
I hope that helps,
